Årelin – Linen Fabric for Bunad Lining
Traditional Linen for Bunad Lining and Structure
Årelin is a coarse, unbleached linen fabric woven in a classic plain weave (toskaft / plain weave). Produced by Krivi Vev in Norway, this fabric is widely used as lining (forstoff) and structural material in traditional bunads.
With its firm texture and natural finish, årelin provides strength and stability—making it especially suitable for garments that require durability and shape.
